snowflake.snowpark.functions.current_timestamp() → Column[source]¶

Returns the current timestamp for the system.

Example

>>> import datetime
>>> result = session.create_dataframe([1]).select(current_timestamp()).collect()
>>> assert isinstance(result[0]["CURRENT_TIMESTAMP()"], datetime.datetime)
