snowflake.snowpark.functions.localtime¶

snowflake.snowpark.functions.localtime() → Column[source]¶

Returns the current time for the system.

Parameters:: _emit_ast (bool, optional) – Whether to emit the abstract syntax tree (AST). Defaults to True.
Returns:: A Column with the current local time.

Example:

>>> import datetime
>>> result = session.create_dataframe([1]).select(localtime()).collect()
>>> assert isinstance(result[0]["LOCALTIME()"], datetime.time)
