DROP TAG

Removes a tag from the system.

Syntax

DROP TAG [ IF EXISTS ] <name>;

UNDROP TAG <name>

Parameters

name

Identifier for the tag; must be unique for your schema. The identifier is the key in the key = 'value' pair of the tag.

The identifier value must start with an alphabetic character and cannot contain spaces or special characters unless the entire identifier string is enclosed in double quotes (e.g. "My object"). Identifiers enclosed in double quotes are also case-sensitive.

Usage Notes

  • Dropping a tag requires the OWNERSHIP privilege on the tag.

Example

The following example drops a tag:

drop tag cost_center;

The following example undrops a tag:

undrop tag cost_center;
