Index.is_interval() → None[source]¶

Check if the Index holds Interval objects.

Deprecated since version 2.0.0: Use isinstance(index.dtype, pd.IntervalDtype) instead.

Returns:

Whether or not the Index holds Interval objects.

Return type:

bool
