Understanding StateRAMP compliance requirements¶
StateRAMP is a 501(c)6 nonprofit that standardizes security requirements for cloud offerings and verifies those cloud offerings for use by state and local governments and public education institutions through independent audits and continuous monitoring. The Snowflake offerings that are working towards or have achieved StateRAMP authorizations are included on the Authorized Product List.
Snowflake maintains 3 deployments that are currently authorized or under review by the StateRAMP PMO for authorization:
State and local governments, public education institutions, and special districts are invited to become members of StateRAMP. Government membership provides access to shared services for managing supplier risk. Providers are also eligible for membership. Provider membership benefits include: a public profile on the Authorized Product List, transferrable credentials, committee eligibility, access to the complete membership directory, an opportunity to provide feedback on policies, and documentation, and member education.
Snowflake maintains 3 deployments that are currently under review by the StateRAMP PMO for authorization:
Snowflake The Data Cloud on AWS: Moderate Authorized
Snowflake The Data Cloud on AWS GovCloud: High Authorized
Snowflake Data Cloud on Azure Government: Moderate Authorized
Note
If your Snowflake account is in a U.S. government region and you want to access data products that are offered privately or on the Snowflake Marketplace, or offer listings either privately or on the Snowflake Marketplace, you must review and acknowledge a cross-region disclaimer for your organization.
