Create a catalog role¶
Create a catalog role to grant privileges on it when you secure a catalog. For more information about catalog roles, see Catalog role.
- Sign in to Open Catalog. 
- From the menu on the left, select Catalogs. 
- From the list of catalogs, select the catalog for which you want to create a catalog role. 
- Select the Roles tab. 
- Select + Catalog role. 
- Enter a name for the Catalog role, and then select Create. - Catalog role names are case-sensitive. 
When you secure a catalog, you can now select this catalog role to secure the entire catalog or a namespace, table, or view within it.
