Data lake updates¶
Apache Iceberg™ tables: Support for the UNKNOWN data type (Preview)¶
Snowflake now supports the UNKNOWN primitive data type defined by the Apache Iceberg™ v3 specification. Use it to
define an Iceberg column or field whose type isn’t known yet. An UNKNOWN column has no physical storage and always
reads as NULL.
