August 05, 2024 — Data Dictionary Data Preview — Generally available

We are pleased to announce the general availability of Data Preview in Data Dictionary.

With this release, Snowflake periodically runs data classification on data previews to identify and mask any column with a high likelihood of containing PII and other sensitive data. Once Snowflake identifies and masks a PII column, an email is sent to the technical contact listed in the provider profile to review the details.
