January 7, 2025 — Snowflake Cortex AI LLM Playground — Preview¶

Snowflake is pleased to announce the preview of the Cortex LLM Playground, a no-code chat interface for LLM prompt experimentation.

The Cortex LLM Playground lets you perform side-by-side comparisons of text completions between any two language models available in Cortex AI or different settings of a single model. You can easily connect a Snowflake table to compare language model responses for an individual or multiple records (each in a separate row) across different prompt configurations. After you are satisfied with the output of the LLM for a given prompt, you can easily copy the generated SQL code to a worksheet or integrate it into your pipeline, like any other SQL statement.
