Snowpark Migration Accelerator: How do I give SMA permission to Documents, Desktop, and Downloads folders?¶

There is a macOS system known scenario where the SMA crashes after trying an execution without read and write permission where the project is stored.

Please consider these steps:

  1. Check if the project is stored in one of the following locations:

    • Documents

    • Desktop

    • Downloads

If so, set the access from the macOS system:

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, ​​then choose Privacy & Security in the sidebar

  2. Select Files and Folders and allow the SMA access by enabling the folders accordingly to where the project is stored.
